November is Pet Diabetes Month. Do you know some of the common signs of diabetes in dogs and cats? Pets with diabetes may have weight loss regardless of having a good appetite, excessive thirst, and excessive urination. If you think your pet may have any of these signs, please call us to schedule an appointment to evaluate him/her. If we diagnose diabetes, we will educate you on how to care for and treat your pet and provide a management plan for you. However, even if your pet is not showing any signs, it is always good to have your veterinarian perform preventative blood work regularly. Whenever we can catch diabetes, or another serious disease early; it is easier to treat and your pet is less likely to have complications. Although there is no cure for diabetes, by providing the proper management we can help you and your pet enjoy a happy, healthy life together. For more information on diabetes, you can contact us or go to http://www.petdiabetesmonth.com/

Love, love Lexington Animal clinic! All staff members are accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. They will go out of their way to make sure your fur babies are well looked after and you know step by step care for any treatments. You need a quick nail trim, they try to squeeze you in, forget to call in a refill in time, they'll do their best to get it there a few days earlier.
